Experienced Medical Assistant

Job Description Job Description Location: KATY, TX Experience with eCW required. We are seeking a Medical Assistant to become a part of our team! You will perform routine administrative and clinical assignments to keep the medical facility running smoothly. Responsibilities: * Prepare exam rooms and maintain clinical supplies. * Room patients, obtain vital signs, document medical history, and prepare charts for providers. * Assist providers during exams and procedures. * Perform basic lab tests, EKGs, and other diagnostic procedures. * Administer medications and vaccines as ordered. * Process medication refills, prior authorizations, referrals, and specialist appointments. * Manage EMR documentation and maintain accurate patient records. * Answer phones, assist patients, and relay messages to providers. * Support efficient patient flow and daily clinic operations. * Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality. * Perform other clinical and administrative duties as assigned. Qualifications: * Proven working experience as a medical assistant in primary care for at least 5 years, within the last 5 years * Excellent written and verbal communication skills (basic knowledge Spanish Preferred) * Proficiency in eCW/ eclinical works- at least 3 years, within the last 3 years * Certification in medical assistance Company Description Thriving new practice with opportunity to grow!
