About The Role KARL STORZ is seeking a strategic and customer-focused OR1 Global Product Manager to lead the global product portfolio for our Premium Integration Systems. In this high-impact role, you will drive product strategy, lifecycle management, and commercial success for innovative operating room integration solutions used by healthcare providers worldwide. As a key member of the Global OR1 Product Management team, you will work cross-functionally with R&D, Sales, Marketing, Regulatory Affairs, Quality, Purchasing, and global stakeholders to translate customer needs into product innovation. You will play a critical role in defining product roadmaps, supporting product launches, and ensuring our solutions continue to meet evolving market and customer demands. What You’ll Do Product Strategy & Lifecycle Management Lead the lifecycle management of Premium Integration products from concept through launch and sustainment. Define product requirements and contribute to the global product roadmap aligned with business objectives. Gather market intelligence and customer insights to identify growth opportunities and drive innovation. Analyze product performance, market trends, and competitor activity to improve revenue, margin, and market share. Serve as the product expert and central point of coordination across engineering, manufacturing, quality, regulatory, and marketing teams. Commercial & Customer Engagement Partner with Sales and Marketing teams to support product launches, customer demonstrations, and field activities. Build relationships with customers, key opinion leaders (KOLs), and internal stakeholders to gather feedback and drive adoption. Support product-related inquiries, issue resolution, and ongoing portfolio optimization. Cross-Functional Leadership Facilitate collaboration between global development teams and commercial leaders to ensure successful product execution. Translate customer and market needs into technical requirements for development teams. Support usability testing, beta programs, and validation activities to ensure high-quality product delivery. Regulatory & Quality Support Collaborate with Regulatory Affairs and Quality teams to support global product approvals and compliance requirements. Address quality, safety, and legal considerations throughout the product lifecycle. Assist with intellectual property and patent-related activities as needed. What You Bring Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. 8+ years of product management or related experience, preferably within the medical device industry. Strong understanding of product development processes and lifecycle management. Experience working with medical technology products and regulated environments. Solid knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, and distributed computing concepts. Familiarity with FDA/MDR regulatory requirements and technical standards. Experience gathering and managing product requirements. Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proven ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional, global teams. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree, preferably in Engineering or a related technical discipline. 10+ years of product management experience in medical devices. Experience with healthcare systems, hospital workflows, or operating room technologies. Background in systems engineering or technically complex products. Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies. Knowledge of SAP, MS Project, and requirements management tools. Demonstrated global business acumen and intercultural collaboration skills.
