Medical Director- Early Development Oncology
AbbVie
Medical director role supporting product safety oversight for oncology compounds in early development. Responsible for pharmacovigilance surveillance, regulatory interpretation, and safety documentation across pharmaceutical and biological products.
Responsibilities
- Support Product Safety Lead in safety surveillance and signal detection for assigned products
- Apply pharmacology, chemistry, and toxicology knowledge to conduct safety monitoring activities
- Author and contribute to pharmacovigilance documents including safety assessments and risk management plans
- Analyze aggregate safety data and communicate findings to cross-functional teams
- Review and provide input on technical documents under PST Lead guidance
Requirements
- MD or DO with minimum 2+ years patient management residency experience
- Ability to analyze clinical data and epidemiological information
- Technical document writing skills with guidance
- Master of Public Health degree preferred
- Collaborative team skills with independent work capability
- Proficient oral and written English communication
