About the Role

KARM Stores is seeking an experienced HR Manager to join our Team Services department , KARM Stores' Human Resources function.

The HR Manager supports the Director of Team Services by overseeing the day-to-day operations of Human Resources and providing responsive, effective HR support to team members and leaders throughout the organization.

This role has a broad range of responsibilities including HR operations, onboarding, employee records, HR systems, compliance, employee relations, and organizational support . The HR Manager will partner with leaders across KARM Stores to help strengthen our teams, improve HR processes, and support operational excellence.

Most importantly, this role helps promote a Christ-centered, people-focused culture by modeling servant leadership, integrity, accountability, and professionalism.

What You'll Do

HR Operations & Leadership

• Oversee the daily operations of the Team Services (Human Resources) department.
• Manage onboarding, employee records, HR systems, and personnel documentation.
• Ensure HR processes are accurate, timely, efficient, and aligned with organizational objectives.
• Monitor HR workflows and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and service delivery.
• Assist with planning and implementing HR initiatives that support organizational goals.

Employee & Organizational Support

• Build positive relationships with team members and leaders by providing responsive, compassionate HR support and guidance.
• Partner with directors, managers, and hiring leaders on recruitment, onboarding, employee development, and workforce planning.
• Provide HR guidance and support to leaders throughout the organization.
• Foster collaboration and effective communication across departments.
• Model servant leadership, integrity, accountability, and professionalism.

Employee Relations & Compliance

• Help ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws, organizational policies, safety requirements, and HR best practices.
• Support employee relations matters, including investigations, coaching documentation, corrective actions, conflict resolution, and terminations.
• Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, HR systems, reporting, and documentation.
• Monitor compliance processes and recommend improvements that reduce organizational risk.
• Exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive personnel matters.

HR Strategy & Continuous Improvement

• Partner with the Director of Team Services to implement HR initiatives that strengthen organizational effectiveness.
• Analyze HR metrics and operational data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Support leadership development initiatives in collaboration with Training and department leaders.
• Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, systems, and service delivery.
• Participate in continuous professional and spiritual development while encouraging continuous improvement within the department.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• 35 years of progressively responsible Human Resources experience.
• Working knowledge of:
  • Employment law
  • Employee relations
  • Payroll
  • Benefits administration
  • HRIS systems
  • HR best practices
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, coaching, and conflict-resolution abilities.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to analyze HR data and recommend operational improvements.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
• Ability to build collaborative relationships across all levels of an organization.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, or a related field .
• Supervisory or leadership experience.
• HR certification such as SHRM-CP or PHR .

Physical & Work Requirements

This position requires the ability to:

• Occasionally travel to store locations, meetings, and training events.
• Stand, walk, and move throughout office and retail environments.
• Occasionally lift and carry up to 25 pounds .
• Operate computers and standard office technology for extended periods.

Schedule

Full-Time | MondayFriday

Occasional evening hours may be required based on business needs.
