Physician Assistant – Beacon, NY Under the supervision of a physician, the Physician Assistant will plan, evaluate, and deliver the health care of patients on the assigned service, emphasizing preventive health measures and patient education. The PA will perform duties in compliance with system and job‑specific standards. Responsibilities Takes histories, examines patients, orders and performs diagnostic procedures and provides counseling and education. Orders appropriate lab work, draws blood and performs tests such as throat culture and microscopic exams. Prescribes treatment and medication following established protocols and in consultation with a supervising physician. Maintains and reviews medical records and follows up on abnormal lab results. Attends case conferences, continuing education programs, provider meetings, and quality improvement/team assignments. Adheres to OSHA infection‑control standards, CDC guidelines, and Infection Control Officer oversight. Meets productivity, quality and patient‑satisfaction standards. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree. NCCPA certification. Current registration to practice in New York State. 0–1 year related work experience. Salary: $134,661.80 – $139,921.60 per year.
