As a Registered Dietitian , you'll provide comprehensive nutrition assessment, education, and medical nutrition therapy to support optimal patient outcomes.

Your responsibilities will include:

???? Assessing patients' nutritional status and developing individualized nutrition care plans

???? Providing medical nutrition therapy for patients with acute and chronic health conditions

???? Conducting nutrition screenings, assessments, and ongoing evaluations to monitor patient progress

???? Educating patients and families on disease-specific diets, healthy eating habits, and lifestyle modifications

???? Collaborating with physicians, nurses, speech therapists, pharmacists, and case management to coordinate patient care

????️ Working closely with Food & Nutrition Services to ensure patients receive appropriate therapeutic diets

???? Documenting assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately within the electronic medical record (EMR)

???? Participating in quality improvement initiatives, regulatory compliance activities, and community wellness programs

❤️ Promoting evidence-based nutrition practices that improve patient health and recovery

✔ Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field required

✔ Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) required

✔ Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist (LDN) in the State of Illinois required (or eligible upon hire)

✔ Previous clinical nutrition experience in an acute care hospital preferred

✔ Knowledge of medical nutrition therapy, therapeutic diets, and nutrition support

✔ Excellent communication, counseling, and patient education skills

✔ Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

✔ Passion for improving patient outcomes through nutrition and wellness
