Job Title: Metal Saw Operator - 1st Shift
Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Metal Saw Operator to join our team on the 1st shift. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up metal saws and preparing metal for cutting, using hand and power tools throughout the day.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate metal saws to prepare metal for cutting.
• Use hand and power tools to perform daily tasks.
• Employ a tape measure frequently to ensure precise cuts according to customer specifications.
• Utilize work orders to select the correct product for cutting.
• Read blueprints and measure raw steel to make accurate cuts for production.
• Transfer material to the appropriate workstations.
• Perform light maintenance on machines, such as adding oil and changing blades.

• Proficiency in saw operation.
• Experience with machine set up and operation.
• Blueprint reading skills.
• Ability to use tape measure effectively.
• Basic understanding of fabrication and production processes.

• 1-2 years of consistent work history.
• Experience with bandsaws, drill press, and press brake.
• Familiarity with industrial machine operation and general labor tasks.
• Ability to handle raw materials and perform sheet metal work.

The work environment is an open production setting where you will work with metal parts, resulting in hands-on, sometimes dirty, tasks.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of MANKATO, MN.

The pay range for this position is $21.50 - $25.50/hr.
