CONTRACT SPECIALIST

Senior Contracting Officer

You will serve as the Senior Contracting Officer responsible for the planning, negotiation, placement, and administration of research and development contract acquisition, other transaction and assistance actions.

You will provide guidance and counsel to technical Department Heads and program officers on matters such as impact of new acquisitions laws/regulations, proper use of assistance instruments and conformance requirements for special programs.

You will be responsible for determining the proper instrument for meeting program objectives.

You will draft internal instructions and point papers on emerging issues.

You will be responsible for preparation of all pre-award documentation.

You will coordinate with the senior Acquisition Department to ensure proper representation of ONR perspectives.
