Schedule: Days/Evenings/Nights, including some weekend and holiday hours.

Pay Range: $55.00 -$65.00, based on experience.

Main Function: In cooperation with the Medical Staff, the Health System and Director of Pharmacy, participates in programs and procedures designed to promote the appropriate, safe and effective use of medications for Thompson Health patients and residents. Inpatient position.

• Actively guards the confidentiality of sensitive information including but not limited to the patients, staff and the health system.
• Demonstrates the knowledge & skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient.
• Possessing an in-depth knowledge of medications and their uses.

• The staff pharmacist will provide professional services and support in the following distributive and clinical areas:

1. Medication distribution and compounding
2. Drug Information
3. Education and Resource Materials
4. Formulary Management/Drug Usage
5. Adverse Drug Reactions
6. Medication Error Prevention
7. Nursing/Pharmacy Liaison
8. Clinical Computer Applications
9. Medication Use Evaluation
10. Program Development and Implementation
11. Lives the CARES values at all times.

***Flexibility is required***

Qualifications:

• Current New York State Pharmacist registration.
• Accredited continuing education as required/defined by New York State
• Bachelor's degree in pharmacy or Pharm. D from accredited Pharmacy program required
• Board Certification strongly preferred
• Minimum of one year of ambulatory care pharmacy experience preferred

Pay Range: $55.00 -$65.00

Starting Pay Rate: Based on experience
