Under supervision, receives, processes, and cares for stray, impounded and surrendered animals; and maintains the Animal Shelter facility in a clean and orderly condition; and performs other related work as required. This position will work 20-22 hours per week, primarily weekday mornings and will include some Sundays. Typical Tasks and Representative Duties (Not in order of importance) Feeds and cares for sheltered and impounded animals; cleans animal pens and cages Maintains Animal Shelter facility, related grounds, and equipment in a clean, safe and orderly condition Processes animal shelter intakes and releases Administers vaccinations and microchips in accordance with prescribed procedures; and as assigned, administers medications to sheltered animals.
