Step into an impactful teaching opportunity and inspire young minds as a general education ELA instructor! This engaging, full-time contract position is based in a welcoming educational environment near Arvada, CO, with an immediate start through May 2027. As an ELA teacher for middle school students (grades 6-8), you will play an essential role in shaping students’ academic journeys, working onsite and providing dynamic, standards-driven instruction.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Colorado teaching certification (required)
- Previous classroom experience teaching general education or English Language Arts at the middle school level
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to tailor instruction to diverse learners and create an inclusive environment
- Commitment to collaborating with colleagues, students, and families to support student success
- Passion for fostering critical thinking, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned ELA instruction to a class of middle school students
- Develop and implement lesson plans that support varied learning styles and educational needs
- Evaluate and assess student progress, providing timely feedback and support
- Maintain a positive classroom environment that encourages inquiry and respect
- Participate actively in school-related activities, professional development, and team meetings
- Communicate regularly with families to promote involvement and share student growth
