With flexible ways of working and meaningful development opportunities, you'll build a career you can be proud to stand behind.In this role, you will have the opportunity to:Develop electrical design for industrial manufacturing projects, which includes the manufacturing, ag/bio-process, food/beverage, oil refining, and packaging industries.Develop a variety of complex engineering deliverables including one-line diagrams, schematics, power and lighting plans, panel schedules, field instrumentation, electrical installation details, and technical specifications.Function in a technical specialist capacity.Under general supervision, perform all aspects of conventional design engineering and analysis.Coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary project teams, including process, mechanical, instrumentation and controls, structural, civil, and architectural disciplines.Continuous learning and development of technical expertise/specialty area.Coordinate with regional and global design teams.Do project studies – Energy Optimization, Power System Coordination, and Arc Flash Hazard AnalysisConstruction inspection and resolution of electrical construction issuesThis role will support projects for North America.As part of BV Operations, your skills will be aligned to projects that support our Technology, Commercial & Industrial market sector. In roles like Engineers, Technicians, and Skilled Specialists you will be engaged with exciting projects. From small community improvements to grand-scale Mega Projects, you will be Building a World of Difference through infrastructure growth and development while learning and focusing on your own individual development.Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program.EIT/EI, Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or relevant discipline.1+ years in electrical design, planning and construction services.Consulting and Industrial Manufacturing experience preferred.Power system analysis experience in SKM, ETAP, or other analysis software a plus.Basic understanding of NEC/NFPA 70 requirements, and hazardous classified area concepts preferred.Familiarity with PLC wiring and controls is preferred.PLC programming experience is not required.AutoCAD experience.Minimum Qualifications:Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing.Minimum of 1 year related work experience.All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.Black & Veatch endeavors to make accessible to any and all users.
