Job Summary Southern Industrial Constructors, Inc. seeks an Iron Worker Foreman for a project in Holly Springs, NC. Hired candidates will receive benefits and paid time off after a 3‑month period. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Set up hoisting equipment for raising and placing structural steel members. Fasten steel members using chains, cables, or ropes. Signal workers operating hoisting equipment to lift and place steel members. Guide members using tag lines (ropes). Pull, push, or pry steel members into approximate position while supported by the hoisting device. Use turnbuckles, crowbars, jacks, and hand tools to position members in final alignment. Align holes in members by using drift pins or handles of wrenches. Verify vertical and horizontal alignment of members with plumb bob and level. Bolts aligned members to hold them until permanent bolting or welding. Alter steel members as required. Detect, recognize, and respond to dangerous conditions or situations. Perform other duties as required. Qualifications & Skills Skilled in both written and verbal communication. Complete all required safety and general job training as mandated by SIC. Observe SIC and customer safety and quality processes and procedures at all times. Physical Requirements / Job Site Requirements Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and use all required PPE. Must safely access all areas of property, buildings, structures, wharves, rooftops, and other elevated positions, including confined spaces. Must stand for long periods, bend consistently, work in confined spaces, ladders, personnel lifts, workboats, and awkward body positions. Must safely operate all involved equipment and tools.
