Senior Acquisition Program Systems Engineer

Position Summary Odyssey has an excited opportunity for an experienced Senior Acquisition Program Systems Engineer to support the full life cycle of air armament and conventional munitions systems, including missiles, bombs, warheads, seekers/sensors, countermeasures, training systems, radars, explosive devices, and related support equipment. This work spans requirements analysis through disposal and includes support to international programs and FMS. Responsibilities Duties include, but not limited to: • Provide engineering and technical expertise across all acquisition phases: requirements definition, design, integration, verification/validation, deployment, and sustainment• Develop and maintain engineering documentation such as Systems Engineering Plans, technical reviews, audits, and interchange meeting materials (e.g., CDR, TIMs)• Conduct trade studies on performance, cost, producibility, maintainability, and risk; support simulation studies and system effectiveness modeling• Perform proposal and modification evaluations for technical feasibility and cost effectiveness• Support developmental planning, AoAs, mission needs analysis, sensitivity and uncertainty analysis, and system comparison studies per DoD 5000-series guidance• Provide engineering assessments for training systems, simulators, integration requirements, and system readiness reviews• Support source selection activities in a non‑decision‑making advisory role, including documentation development and proposal reviews• Produce technical trade studies, integration documentation, and munitions-related engineering products; support risk management and milestone review preparation• Deliver systems engineering support for program oversight, configuration management, requirements management, and interface management; utilize tools such as DOORS• Provide program engineering support for evaluations, testing, portfolio reviews, and recommendations to improve system performance and compliance with specifications Qualifications Citizenship: Must be a US citizenMinimum Required QualificationsCitizenship: Must be a US citizenClearance: Top SecretEducation and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in related disipline + 15 years relevant experience; or Master’s degree + 10 years of relevant experience; or PhD+ 5 year of relevant experienceDegree from an ABET‑accredited engineering programPreferred QualificationsExperience supporting Air Force or DoD weapon system acquisition programsExperience supporting ACAT I or ACAT II programsTechnical SkillsDoD and Air Force acquisition policy and reportingACAT I, II, and III program executionDAMIR, EDA, PMRT, CRISCost, schedule, and performance managementRisk management planning and executionAcquisition strategy and milestone documentationBusiness Case Analysis and trade study developmentSystems Engineer experienceInterpersonal SkillsExecutive-level written and verbal communicationSenior-leader briefing and advisory skillsAnalytical decision-making and problem-solvingAbility to lead and influence in IPT environmentsStrong organizational discipline and attention to detailAdditional InformationLocation: Eglin AFB, FLTravel: May be required at the customer’s discretionOnsite#NG-1 Company Overview Odyssey is a world-class technical, engineering, and integration company serving the warfighting ecosystem with airborne integration, ISR, C2, and warfighter readiness capabilities.
