Clinton Township, MI 48038 Days Role Overview As a Medical Assistant at Henry Ford Health, you’ll play a vital role in delivering compassionate and high-quality patient care. Working under the supervision of providers and nursing leadership, you’ll perform a variety of administrative and clinical tasks to ensure a seamless patient experience. Your contributions will directly support our healthcare providers and enhance the care we deliver to our patients. What You Will Do Greet and escort patients to exam rooms, ensuring a welcoming and comfortable experience. Obtain and record accurate medical histories and vital signs. Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, assisting providers as needed. Perform administrative tasks to support the efficient operation of the clinic. Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure quality and compassionate patient care. What You Will Need Required Qualifications High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with completion of a formal clinical externship (160-hour minimum), or equivalent experience as outlined in the job description. Current BLS-C certification upon hire or successful completion by the end of orientation. Preferred Qualifications Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills. EPIC (Electronic Medical Record) experience. Qualifications Additional Requirements Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with completion of a formal clinical externship (160 hour minimum). OR Graduate from a Medical Assistant program without completion of a clinical externship but with a minimum one-year experience in clinical medical assisting within the past five (5) years. OR Current Professionally Recognized Medical Assistant Certification with a minimum of one year of experience in clinical medical assisting. OR Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). OR Licensed Paramedic/Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) with at least one-year clinical experience in clinical medical setting within the past five (5) years. OR Military trained medical personnel with at least one-year clinical experience in clinical medical setting within the past five (5) years.
