Sales Team Lead

Responsible for leading a team of individuals that will be responsible for the sales support and issue resolutions for less experienced agent partners in small group. This role will focus on streamlining the account management functions with the objective of maintaining and growing our book of business through strong and effective processes. This role will also be critical in assisting with escalated customer issues in partnership with other cross-functional departments for quick resolution and problem solving.Manage the sales and account retention activities within the assisted territory.Oversee quality and consistency of deliverables on sales related product and service to agent partners. Engage in cross-collaboration and alignment with Southeast and West Michigan small group sales team. Assist in the development and implementation of sales strategies that can be leveraged when working with a large scope of agent partners.Support the ongoing growth of team members with proactive knowledge and skills building.Assist with the resolution of escalated customer issues.Ensure all customer requests are responded to timely and tracked effectively.QUALIFICATIONSHigh School Graduate or GED equivalent required. Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred.A minimum of five (5) years of BCBSM/BCN and/or related field experience including at least two (2) years of experience in a leadership role.Valid Michigan Accident and Health Insurance License required.Must possess excellent analytical, presentation, problem resolution, sales, verbal, and written communication skills.Well-developed forecasting, organizing, planning, and scheduling skills.Proficient in current industry standard PC applications and systems.The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
