Job OpportunityAs a Physician in an affiliated medical practice, provides medical services to patients in an assigned area.Job DescriptionKennebec Pediatrics, a thriving, well-established practice of MaineGeneral Medical Center, is seeking a board certified or board eligible Pediatrician to join their collegial team, meeting patients' medical needs through compassionate, respectful and professional care.Join a team of eight physicians at Kennebec Pediatrics along with a full complement of nursing and support staff in an outpatient setting, providing comprehensive medical care from infancy to young adulthood.Highlights of the position include:Schedule consists of 32 clinical hours and the benefit of 8 hours of scheduled, dedicated administrative timeNo evening clinic hoursNo inpatient pediatric, Emergency Department or newborn nursery coverage.Call rotation consists of 1 in 8 weekends.After-hours on call service that begins at 4:50 pm – 7:45 am on weekdays, weekend call service begins at 2:00 pm to 9:00 am.Third year medical students from UNE rotate through the practices.Opportunity to also work per diem as a pediatric hospitalist if desired, although not required.Once you visit, be prepared to stay for a career that will fulfill your professional ambitions and serve a grateful community--in an area of Maine that offers excellent public schools, a family-oriented culture, and quality-of-life features that will captivate you for a lifetime.CertificationsDoctor of Medicine (MD) - American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), Doctor of Osteopathic (DO) - American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) - Maine State Board of Licensure of Podiatric MedicineScheduled Weekly Hours40Scheduled Work ShiftBenefitsSupporting all aspects of our employees' wellness – physical, emotional and financial – is a critical component of being a great place to work.
