HIV Customer Representative - South Chicago
Merck
Merck seeks an HIV Customer Representative for the Chicago and surrounding Illinois/Indiana territory to support customer-centric sales activities. This field-based role focuses on understanding healthcare provider needs, positioning HIV products strategically, and collaborating across teams to improve patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Customize product discussions and communications based on individual customer needs and healthcare provider context
- Serve as primary contact for select customer accounts and develop tailored engagement strategies
- Identify market segments, assess competitive dynamics, and make proactive business recommendations
- Collaborate with extended virology team to develop account plans and customer-centric solutions
- Maintain current knowledge of practice structures, key influencers, and network relationships across territory
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with minimum 2 years sales experience
- Or high school diploma with 6+ years equivalent professional, marketing, military, or healthcare experience
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to travel within assigned territory
- Advanced questioning and strategic thinking skills for healthcare environments
- Knowledge of HIV product positioning and specialty pharmacy distribution channels
- High-level compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
