Phlebotomist

Phlebotomist Location: 1695 N Sunrise Way Palm Springs, CA. Work Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, with rotating weekends. Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely. Process billing information and collect payments when required. Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen information logs. Provide superior customer service to all patients. Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary. Travel to additional sites when needed. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. California state-issued Phlebotomy license (CPT). Preferred Qualifications 1 year or more of experience as a phlebotomist. Current or prior experience at LabCorp. Additional Job Standards In lieu of state license requirement, an application for a phlebotomy license filed with the CA Department of Health at time of hire may meet license requirement. 1 year or more phlebotomy experience with geriatric and pediatric patients. Able to pass a standardized color blindness test. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. Exceptional customer service. Strong communication skills; both written and verbal. Ability to work independently or in a team environment. Comfortable working under minimal supervision. Reliable transportation. Pay Range $23.00 – $33.00 per hour. Benefits Employees scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, STD/LTD, 401(k), paid time off or flexible time off, tuition reimbursement, and employee stock purchase plan. Employees scheduled to work less than 20 hours, as well as casual, intern, and temporary employees, are eligible to participate only in the 401(k) plan.
