Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to postpartum newborns and mothers in a labor and delivery setting during night shifts. Deliver compassionate, efficient, and patient-centered care to ensure safety and well-being.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and monitor medications and treatments to postpartum patients and neonates.
• Assist obstetricians and healthcare team members during labor, delivery, and postpartum procedures.
• Educate new mothers on newborn care, breastfeeding, and postpartum recovery.
• Document patient progress, interventions, and outcomes accurately in electronic medical records.
• Respond promptly to emergencies or complications during labor or postpartum periods.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment adhering to infection control protocols.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license in good standing.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in labor and delivery or newborn nursery settings.
• Certification in neonatal resuscitation (NRP) and advanced cardiovascular life support (ACLS).
• Demonstrate strong clinical assessment and patient communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively night shifts and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
