We are adding Construction Field Engineers to work on a major upgrade to the Rinconada Water Treatment Plant in Los Gatos, CA. The improvements will include building a new ozone generation facility, liquid oxygen system, chlorine contact basin and advanced filtration systems. This is a $305M project with an estimated completion date of 4/2029. District Overview Kiewit’s Northern California District is one of Kiewit’s leading infrastructure districts specializing in various types of work in the heavy civil, power, transportation, and water resource markets. Although most of our work is regionally based in Northern California, we also pursue various projects across the west coast. Location Location: This role will be based on-site at the project in Los Gatos, CA. Responsibilities Perform quantity inspections by taking measurements and determining percentage of completed/installed materials and work Ability to build strong, collaborative relationships with craft and staff to support effective communication and successful project execution Assist in the preparation of work plans and work packages Assist in field surveying and work layout support including elevation, control points, and compilation of as-built data Assist in compiling, processing, and confirming daily labor timesheets Assist in the preparation of Job Hazard Analysis (JHA’s) Participate in jobsite safety reviews, toolbox meetings, mass safety meetings, and safety training Order and schedule material deliveries Plan, schedule, and coordinate work groups on the jobsite Supervise field operations #LI-KM1Qualifications 2+ years' construction field experience, preferably in Heavy Civil construction (roadway, concrete, asphalt, earthworks, Bridge, Rail, Water or Wastewater) Undergraduate degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related Ability to read, analyze and identify discrepancies on engineering plans, specifications, and contract documents Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiative Strong work ethic, willing to do what it takes to get the job done right the first time Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity Passion for safety, with the ability to help us ensure that nobody gets hurt Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills Ability to travel and relocate as needed Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail Other Requirements: Regular, reliable attendance Work productively and meet deadlines timely Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment Perform work safely and effectively. May work at various different locations and conditions may vary Base Compensation: $85,000 - $110,000 **This position may qualify for a cost-of-living adjustment added to base salary for employees based in select Northern California locations.
