Admissions Coordinator Excelcare at Wilmington is seeking an Admissions Coordinator who will be responsible for managing the intake and admission process for new residents in a skilled nursing facility. This role serves as a key liaison between hospitals, families, and internal teams to ensure a smooth, timely, and compliant admission experience. Located at 2801 W 6th St, Wilmington, DE 19805 Benefits Health, Dental and Vision Insurance Paid time off, paid sick time and paid holidays 401k with up to 5% matching Daily pay option Employee‑only discounts, perks and rewards programs Responsibilities Coordinate the admissions process from referral through resident arrival Receive, review, and respond to referrals from hospitals and community partners Verify insurance coverage and eligibility (Medicare, Medicaid, managed care) Communicate with discharge planners, families, and internal teams to facilitate smooth transitions Ensure all admission documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with regulations Track referrals, admissions activity, and census data Provide a positive and supportive experience for residents and their families throughout the process Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred Previous experience in healthcare admissions, skilled nursing, or a related setting preferred Basic knowledge of insurance verification (Medicare, Medicaid, managed care) Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment Excelcare is an equal opportunity employer.
