Location: DeMay Living Center- 100 Sunset Drive Newark, NY 14513

Hours Per Week: 40 Hours per week

Schedule: Sunday - Thursday 9:00am-5:30pm four days a week and one day 11:00am-7:30pm

ATTRIBUTES

• Previous Recreational experience with the Aging population
• Strong oral communication skills with a focus on exceptional customer service
• Demonstrated ability of thorough documentation
• CPR certification preferred
• If travel is required, NYS Driver's License Required

FOR NEURO-BEHAVIORAL UNIT :

Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) through the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification (NCTRC) - either in place or eligibility to sit. Must obtain Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) through the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification (NCTRC) within 6 months of hire.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assessments. Completes a comprehensive assessment of client's needs, restrictions, limitations, and preferences
• Therapy. Develops and implements individual treatment programs and group Therapeutic Recreation programs
• Documentation. Documents evaluation results, individualized treatment plans, progress reports, and other reports as required by the profession and the department

BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (AHA)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.
