What You'll Do

• Conduct pre-operative evaluations and optimize upcoming surgical patients
• Review health history and pertinent patient information
• Utilize existing protocols for patient assessment and preparation
• Perform chart reviews and data collection
• Make appropriate referrals as necessary
• Collaborate closely with the Surgery/Anesthesia team
• Support outpatient, pre-op visits across surgical specialties such as Orthopedics, General Surgery, and Urology

What You Need
Required:

• Active NY License in Hand
• BLS certification
• Epic experience
• Board Certified APP in relevant setting
• Experience in pre-anesthesia or pre-operative care

Preferred:

• Past experience working with surgical teams
• Strong organizational and communication skills

About the Assignment
This role involves outpatient pre-operative assessments in a dedicated ambulatory setting focused on evaluating and preparing surgical patients. The position offers a stable, Monday-Friday schedule with no weekend or call obligations, providing excellent work-life balance. You will work closely with surgical teams to review patient histories, perform assessments, and optimize patient readiness for upcoming surgeries within a supportive environment.
