Commercial Plumbing Project Manager – Asheville, NC

Step into a legacy. Bolton Construction & Service of WNC is seeking an experienced Commercial Plumbing Project Manager to succeed a respected team member retiring after 35 years with our company. This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of an established book of commercial plumbing work with a fourth-generation, family-owned company that has served Western North Carolina since 1925.

What You'll Do

• Manage commercial plumbing projects from estimate through closeout, including new construction, renovation, and tenant upfit work
• Prepare estimates, takeoffs, and bid proposals for commercial plumbing projects
• Coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, and subcontractors to keep projects on schedule and on budget
• Review plans and specifications; identify scope gaps, conflicts, and value engineering opportunities
• Manage project budgets, change orders, billing, and job cost tracking
• Maintain strong relationships with general contractors, owners, engineers, and inspectors
• Ensure all work meets plumbing codes, project specifications, and Bolton quality standards
• Support and mentor field supervisors and plumbing crews
• Work alongside the retiring Project Manager during a structured transition period to ensure continuity for clients and crews

What We're Looking For

• If you're a commercial plumber that is ready to take the next step in your career, this may be for you!
• 5+ years of commercial plumbing experience, with at least 2 years in project management, estimating, or field supervision
• Strong knowledge of commercial plumbing systems, NC plumbing code, and construction documents
• Experience with estimating, takeoffs, and job costing
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and submittals
• Strong organizational and communication skills; comfortable being the point of contact for GCs and owners
• Proficiency with standard office software; experience with construction or estimating software a plus
• Valid driver's license
