Plan Administration Manager

Plan Administration Manager The Actuarial Group Annuity Plan Administration role directs actuarial work performed by Ernst & Young (EY) related to capital adequacy/financial strength, experience studies, actuarial modeling, asset liability management (ALM), valuation, retirement plan support, product development, pricing, and non-guaranteed element determination. This job oversees both the partner Actuarial team at EY and the Group Annuity Plan Administration team and owns policy and strategy implementation for short-term actuarial results. The role requires ensuring the EY team’s compliance with actuarial practices and monitoring changing regulations to maintain consistent compliance and deliver optimal solutions to both internal and external clients. Key Responsibilities and Duties Oversee EY’s work on the company’s actuarial liabilities and capital position to ensure adequate financial strength of annuity and life insurance product lines, as well as overall company financial strength. Oversee EY’s work on experience studies and assumption development for the group annuity line of business. Approve asset and liability modeling and analyses—including financial projections and stress testing—performed by EY. Coordinate with EY on various ALM projects such as economic scenario generation, duration analysis, and interest rate stress testing. Approve valuations of actuarial reserves and liabilities prepared by EY. Coordinate with EY on the development of annuity products, pricing, and policyholder illustrations, and determine non‑guaranteed elements such as crediting rates and dividend scales. Manage performance of the Group Annuity Plan Administration team through regular, timely feedback and formal performance reviews to ensure engagement, development, and delivery of exceptional results. Educational Requirements University degree preferred. Work Experience 3–5 years required; 5+ years preferred. Physical Requirements Sedentary work. Required Qualifications 2+ years of experience in Defined Benefits Plan Management. 2+ years of actuarial experience. Preferred Qualifications 4+ years of experience in Defined Benefits Plan Management. 4+ years of actuarial experience.
