Administer prescribed medications and treatments, including respiratory therapy modalities, and document administration. Apply infection control policies and practices to maintain patient safety and quality of care. Prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and report changes in patient condition to the Registered Nurse; act appropriately in emergencies. Deliver patient and family instruction during hospitalization and at discharge. Support orientation and continuing education of new staff and students; contribute to ongoing professional development. Requirements Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure in good standing. CPR and ACLS certifications are required. Graduate of an approved Licensed Practical Nurse program. Ability to perform typical LPN duties in a long-term care setting; strong communication and patient-safety orientation. Basic computer skills and ability to use facility software; adequate visual, auditory, and manual dexterity.
