Activities Assistant
Do you have experience working with the elderly and/or in activities planning? If so, Mecklenburg Health and Rehabilitation might be the place for you! Our 100-bed facility is located near Steele Creek in south Charlotte, NC. We are looking for a dynamic team member to serve as the Activities Assistant who is engaging, compassionate and creative to join our team. Must have reliable transportation, excellent references and a desire to work in the healthcare setting. Enhancing our residents' psychosocial wellbeing is of utmost importance coming out of a global pandemic that altered the lives of so many. You will report directly to the Activities Director. Experience strongly preferred in activities - must love working with the elderly!
The primary purpose of your job position is to assist the Activity Director in planning, organizing, developing, and directing the overall operation of the Activity Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, our established policies and procedures, and as may be directed by the Administrator, to assure that an on-going program of activities is designed to meet, in accordance with the comprehensive assessment, the interests and the physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being of each resident. Activities include outings to local stores and restaurants, bingo and games in-house, celebrating holidays and birthdays, exercise classes, puzzles and games, movie nights, etc.
