Part-Time Paralegal

Scion Staffing is conducting a search for a Part-Time Paralegal on behalf of a well-established family law practice. This is a temporary, onsite position in Farmington Hills, MI. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced family law paralegal looking for a flexible schedule while supporting a busy and collaborative legal team.



Perks

• Part-time schedule, 3 days a week, 20-24 hours per week

• Competitive pay of $45/hour

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and proofread pleadings, motions, declarations, and other legal documents.
• Handle electronic filing (e-filing) in state courts and ensure compliance with court rules and deadlines.
• Assist with all phases of discovery, including drafting, organizing, and responding to discovery requests.
• Review case documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Coordinate with opposing counsel, court personnel, and clients regarding case status and scheduling.
• Maintain case files, calendars, and litigation deadlines.
• Perform additional paralegal and legal administrative duties to support the practice.

Qualifications

• Previous paralegal experience.
• Demonstrated experience with family law litigation procedures and court filings.
• Strong e-filing experience and familiarity with state court systems.
• Experience managing discovery and preparing litigation documents.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management software.

Compensation

• $45/hr.
