3rd Shift Alley Buyer Position at JBS USA. Job Title: 3rd Shift Alley Buyer. Department: Livestock. Reports to: Nathaniel Ham. Location: Beardstown, Illinois. Effective Date: 03/17/2026. Job Status: Full Time. FLSA Status: Salaried Non-exempt. Work Schedule: Sunday-Thursday (possible weekend work flex). Possible 12‑hour days. Travel Requirements: 0‑5%. Job Summary The JBS Pork team is seeking a 3rd Shift Alley Buyer. Responsibilities Receive and evaluate hogs as they arrive at the plant Count and sort off-quality hogs Supervise hourly union workforce in completion of duties Complete necessary paperwork Comply with relevant laws, rules, and procedures, including Packers and Stockyards Required Skills / Abilities Strong organizational skills Communication skills - written and verbal including phone etiquette Good work history including attendance Team player among all shifts Education, Experience, Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Bilingual (plus but not required) Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation Experience in swine production, laws, regulations in human handling Physical Requirements Desk work Climbing stairs A lot of walking Exposed to different temperatures hot, cold, humid Compensation & Benefits Base Salary: $43,320 – $48,736.
