Job Summary

The Sales Support Specialist provides day-to-day support to customers, Outside Sales Representatives, and branch personnel. This position helps ensure customer needs are handled accurately and efficiently by coordinating quotations, orders, product sourcing, pricing, availability, and order follow-up.

Key Responsibilities

Provide responsive sales and customer service support to established and prospective customers. Enter and manage customer orders while maintaining a high level of accuracy. Source products and procure materials necessary to complete customer orders. Obtain vendor pricing, including special or project-specific pricing when appropriate. Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and Outside Sales Representatives. Follow orders and customer requests through completion, proactively resolving issues that could affect service. Develop strong product and industry knowledge and use that knowledge to assist customers and the sales team. Communicate new products, vendor opportunities, and relevant product information to the sales team. Coordinate with warehouse and operations personnel regarding material availability, staging, pickup, and delivery requirements. Research order discrepancies, shortages, pricing issues, returns, and other customer concerns. Maintain accurate customer, quotation, order, and pricing information. Build and maintain productive relationships with customers, vendors, and internal associates.
