Residential Program Coordinator

Community Access, Inc. – Stillwater, Oklahoma

Starting Pay: $19.00–$21.00 per hour

Medical or healthcare experience strongly preferred

Community Access, Inc. is a growing Oklahoma provider of services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). We are seeking a dependable, organized, and motivated Residential Program Coordinator to join our Stillwater team.

This is a hands-on supervisory position , not strictly an office job. The Program Coordinator oversees residential services, supervises and supports direct-care staff, helps ensure the health and safety of the individuals we serve, and responds when problems arise.

This position includes significant on-call responsibility. Applicants must understand and be comfortable with the on-call expectations before accepting the position.

What You'll Do

As a Residential Program Coordinator, you will:

• Oversee residential services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
• Directly supervise, train, and support House Managers and Direct Support Professionals
• Ensure Individual Plans (IPs), behavioral supports, nursing instructions, and other required services are properly implemented
• Monitor the health, safety, and well-being of the individuals served
• Conduct routine and unannounced visits to residential homes
• Review required documentation and ensure services are properly documented
• Coordinate with nursing staff, management, guardians, case managers, and other members of the individual's interdisciplinary team
• Assist with medical appointments and healthcare-related needs as appropriate
• Help identify and respond to changes in an individual's health or condition
• Assist with employee performance, training, scheduling, and staffing issues
• Respond to residential, staffing, and client emergencies
• Step in and provide direct support when necessary
• Complete required reports and administrative responsibilities

On-Call Responsibility

On-call availability is an essential part of this position.

Residential services operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week , and situations do not always occur during normal business hours.

Program Coordinators must be available to respond to after-hours calls involving staffing problems, call-ins, emergencies, and the needs of the individuals they supervise.

The Program Coordinator is expected to assist in resolving coverage issues and may be required to provide direct coverage when appropriate coverage cannot otherwise be arranged.

Medical Background Preferred

Because our Program Coordinators oversee services for individuals who may have significant healthcare needs, we are particularly interested in candidates with previous medical, nursing, medication administration, healthcare, residential care, or other related experience.

You do not have to be a nurse to apply. However, candidates should be comfortable working around medical needs, communicating with healthcare professionals, following medical instructions, and recognizing when concerns need to be reported or escalated.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must:

• Possess a valid driver's license
• Maintain current automobile insurance
• Be able to successfully complete required background checks
• Have reliable transportation
• Be able and willing to fulfill the position's on-call responsibilities
• Be dependable and able to respond appropriately to emergencies and unexpected situations
• Have strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills
• Be comfortable supervising and directing employees
• Be able to work independently and make sound decisions
• Be willing to complete all required training
• Must have Bachelors degree OR 4 years supervisory experience in the IDD field OR combination thereof

Previous experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities is preferred.
