Kleinman, a nearly century-old, Top Workplace-recognized property management company, is seeking a Part-Time Assistant Property Manager to support our growing portfolio of apartment communities in Hopkins & Minneapolis.

This role is primarily focused on leasing support, resident service, and assisting the Property Manager with day-to-day tasks across the portfolio. It is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, staying organized, and helping keep a busy property management operation running smoothly.

The ideal candidate is friendly, dependable, organized, and comfortable jumping between leasing, resident communication, administrative work, and other property needs as they arise.

What You'll Do

Leasing & Prospect Support

A major focus of this position will be helping our Hopkins & Minneapolis communities maintain strong leasing activity and providing prospective residents with a great experience.

• Respond to phone, email, and online inquiries from prospective residents
• Schedule and conduct apartment tours
• Follow up with prospects throughout the leasing process
• Provide information about available apartments, rental rates, amenities, and community features
• Assist prospective residents with the application process
• Process rental applications and help gather required documentation
• Prepare leases and other move-in paperwork
• Assist with resident move-ins and move-outs
• Help maintain accurate availability and prospect information in property management and leasing systems
• Support ongoing leasing and marketing efforts to help maintain strong occupancy

Property Manager Support

You'll work closely with the Property Manager and help with a variety of tasks needed to keep the portfolio organized and operating successfully.

• Assist with resident communications, notices, and follow-up
• Respond to resident questions and direct more complex concerns to the Property Manager
• Enter and help coordinate maintenance requests
• Communicate with residents regarding maintenance scheduling and follow-up
• Assist with inspections of vacant apartments, common areas, and property grounds
• Help ensure apartments are ready for upcoming move-ins
• Assist with filing, data entry, property records, and general administrative tasks
• Help organize resident and property documentation
• Help with lease renewals and other resident paperwork
• Support property inspections, turnovers, and other site needs
• Distribute notices and resident communications
• Assist the Property Manager with additional projects and day-to-day tasks as needed

What We're Looking For

• Previous property management, apartment leasing, customer service, or multifamily housing experience preferred
• Leasing experience is a plus
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Friendly, professional, and comfortable interacting with both prospective and current residents
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Excellent attention to detail and follow-through
• Comfortable managing multiple tasks and changing priorities
• Ability to work independently while staying closely connected with the Property Manager
• Familiarity with property management software or CRM tools is a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel between Minneapolis & Hopkins properties
• Dependable attendance and punctuality are essential

Schedule

This is a part-time position averaging approximately 29 hours per week:

Available working hours are between 8:00AM – 6:00PM, Monday – Friday.

Weekend hours may be required depending on leasing demands and turn schedules.

The schedule is intentionally designed to provide additional leasing coverage during evenings and Saturdays, when prospective residents may be more available to tour.

Compensation

$25- $30 per hour depending on experience.
