Quality Control Laboratory Technician, Polymer Compounding

Still privately held and led by the founder’s grandson, Teknor Apex operates nine U.S. sites with additional facilities in Belgium, Singapore, Germany, and China. • Make batch adjustments following established procedures and guidelines.
• Test raw materials using standardized methods; conduct gage R & R studies; handle additional assigned lab functions.
• Analyze complex numerical data; recognize trends; adjust color based on those trends.
• Use Windows Operating Systems and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) to document and report results.

• Strong math aptitude and exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to work 1st shift immediately.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated capability to analyze and interpret complex numerical data.
• Color vision with shade discrimination.
• Proficiency with computers using Windows Operating Systems, Lotus Notes, and Microsoft Office including Word and Excel.

• Hands-on experience with color analysis and color adjustment.
• Accuracy, strong attention to detail, and sound decision-making.
• Ability to partner closely with the shift supervisor.
• Excellent attendance and reliability; willingness to work overtime to meet business demand.
• Capability to work independently without close supervision.

• Associate degree (2-year) in a science field; or 1–3 years of related color experience/training ; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
