Forward Deployed Data Science Team Leader

We're looking for an experienced leader for our Forward Deployed Data Science team. You will drive customer modeling and outcomes, and develop customer relationships. This is a high-ownership role for someone who wants to blend customer-facing relationships, presentation skills, and hard data science capability. We care about what you’ve done, not how long you’ve done it for. You will own your own calendar. What you'll do Lead our forward deployed data science team, including oversee customer model buildouts, manage project timelines, and own customer relationships. Help close customers by managing pilot delivery Build & deploy models for site-selection, market planning, and tenant selection to put companies where they are supposed to be Develop presentation material to communicate complex technical topics to executive audiences Delivered a data science model to executive stakeholders, deployed with measurable results Successfully communicated a complicated technical project to CXO stakeholders (non-technical) Built a forecasting system (preferably in an environment with low/expensive counterfactuals) Experience working with geospatial data, including storage, querying, or visualization (e.g., PostGIS, GeoJSON, or similar) Preferred qualifications Deep expertise of business analytics, ensemble models, explainability, and statistics Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience 2+ years of experience in consulting (MBB/Big-4/boutique preferred), or 3+ years of experience as an FDE. Deployed a forecasting system with a high degree of accuracy, measured across MAPE or cross-entropy (in quintile-based forecasting tasks) Built tools that integrate with LLM-based workflows / AI Agents About you You know how to cut through the noise and focus on the value-add. Principles are centered in your thought process. You won’t hesitate to break or bend a rule if it doesn’t make sense. You are opinionated and know what good looks like - whether in product, in code, or in process.
