Ambercare Homecare is looking for Speech Language Pathologist to come join our rapidly growing team in Alamogordo, NM. PRN - Sunday through Saturday 8am to 5pm We offer: Great culture and team atmosphere 401(k) retirement plan with a generous company match Employee Referral Program Merit Increases Employee Discount Programs Work/life balance What Youll Do: Conducts appropriate evaluations, assesses home environment (as appropriate), identifies equipment needs relative to speech/language function. Identifies functional speech defects and establishes a plan of care to improve patients function. Administer diagnostic speech and language evaluations and some basic, informal audio logical assessment in accordance with the plan of care Recommends communication devices/aids as indicated. Prepare a report of each clients diagnostic evaluation and make recommendations Advise, consult and teach appropriate procedures and supportive activities to clients, family members, and other agency staff Provide direct speech service to clients under a providers plan of care. Records and reports to the provider the clients response to therapy Qualifications: Possess certification of clinical competence in speech from the American Speech Language Hearing Association Licensed as a speech therapist in the state in which practicingAt least one (1) year of acute care setting or equivalent experience Possess knowledge of principles and practices of speech therapy Complies and maintains current CPR certification. Ability to make home visits and provide nursing care in the home environment Must have reliable transportation, current driver's license, and appropriate automobile insurance #J-18808-Ljbffr
