Lead Software Development Engineer

Labcorp seeks a Lead Software Development Engineer in Durham, North Carolina to design and maintain laboratory information systems, instrument interfaces, and middleware platforms. The role involves full-stack development, production support, and technical documentation for healthcare laboratory applications.

Responsibilities

Create detailed specifications for instrument interfaces, middleware platforms, and applications
Design, code, test, and debug services, programs, and applications
Analyze and modify programs to improve efficiency and support new requirements
Provide on-call production support and assist with system implementations and conversions
Consult with users to understand operating procedures and clarify program objectives

Requirements

Bachelor's degree
5+ years developing Windows applications using client-server or web-based architecture
7+ years with JPA/ORM (Hibernate), JUnit, SQL, XML/XSD, JSON, Cache, Oracle, Iris for Health
5+ years troubleshooting enterprise production systems, instrument interfaces, and laboratory information systems
5+ years developing in InterSystems Cache/Iris for Health and Windows environments
5+ years developing laboratory information systems, instrument interfaces, and middleware platforms
5+ years creating technical design documentation using Microsoft Word and Visio

Compensation: $75,000 - $140,000/yr
