Senior Software Engineer

Becton Dickinson seeks a Senior Software Engineer for its Software Technology Solutions Division to design and implement scalable cloud-based data solutions. The role involves system architecture, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced healthcare technology environment.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement data workflows and architectures on cloud-based systems supporting business needs
- Lead design sessions and collaborate with functional teams to define data requirements and use cases
- Develop data movement standards and best practices; mentor junior engineers on modern data engineering
- Conduct code and design reviews; ensure adherence to data-related standards across the team
- Plan and lead engineers to deliver features in agile environment; support production systems
Requirements
- 3+ years building large-scale software applications, preferably in healthcare
- 2+ years implementing solutions on AWS
- Strong Java programming experience required; Go experience preferred
- Proven experience owning complex system architecture and large-scale implementations
- Proficiency in unit and integration testing
- Experience with stream-based and batch processing technologies
