Position Summary

Enviro Safetech is seeking an experienced Safety Specialist to join our growing team. This full-time position supports clients through safety inspections, audits, training, compliance assistance, hazard assessments, and written safety program development.

The ideal candidate is a motivated safety professional who enjoys working directly with clients, solving problems in the field, and helping organizations improve workplace safety performance.

Essential Responsibilities

• Conduct workplace safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments.
• Deliver safety training programs to employees and supervisors.
• Assist clients with Cal/OSHA, OSHA, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Develop, review, and update written safety programs and procedures.
• Investigate incidents and assist with corrective action recommendations.
• Prepare reports, observations, and client deliverables.
• Support safety committees, meetings, and client safety initiatives.
• Provide practical safety guidance and recommendations to clients.
• Maintain professional relationships with clients and project teams.
• Travel to client sites as required.

Preferred Experience

Experience in one or more of the following areas is highly desirable:

• Confined Space Entry
• First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor certification
• HAZWOPER
• Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
• Emergency Response Teams (ERT)
• Respiratory Protection
• Fall Protection
• Hazard Communication
• Forklift Safety
• NFPA 70E Electrical Safety
• Construction Safety
• Industrial Safety Programs

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of full-time safety experience required.
• Valid California Driver's License and acceptable driving record.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong practical problem-solving skills, sound judgment, and common sense.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and common business software.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Must reside within reasonable commuting distance of San Jose, CA.

Travel Requirements

• Regular travel throughout Northern California and the San Francisco Bay Area.
• Occasional overnight travel may be required based on project assignments.
• Travel percentage varies based on client needs and project schedules.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to walk active construction, industrial, manufacturing, and commercial sites.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and access elevated work areas when required.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to wear required PPE, including respirators, hard hats, safety glasses, and protective footwear.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather and environmental conditions.

Compensation & Benefits

Pay Range (Example): $35.00 - $55.00 per hour

Actual compensation will be based on experience, certifications, education, and qualifications.
