Director of Facilities, Events and Operations

Job Overview This position will oversee the management and operation of Georgetown University’s indoor and outdoor athletic facilities, events, and operations for 30 teams. This position will also be responsible for the management of all University events that are hosted in athletics facilities. Responsibilities Notifying visiting teams, officials, and group representatives of Georgetown policies, procedures, event logistics, and facility requirements Submitting advances and reconciliations for all game day related expenses Hiring, training, scheduling and supervising game day and event staff Work Interactions Excellent interpersonal skills necessary. Interaction with students, coaches, administrators and people from the outside community. Direct contact with student workers, Georgetown University and visiting coaches and administrators, University facilities and campus partners, referees/umpires, fans, alumni and community groups. Requirements and Qualifications Bachelor’s degree Practical Experience (years needed and type required): Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience directly related to athletic events. Technical Qualifications or Specialized Certification: Rules and regulations of sporting events; technical requirements of hosting athletic events, including scoreboards, sound systems, communication systems, game clocks and other event-related equipment. Pay Range The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is: $44,022.00 - $73,406.80 Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University’s business needs and external factors.
