This is a Life Skills Teacher position at our Day School with openings in Geneva, Elgin and Bloomingdale, IL. The starting salary is $61,500 - $65,000 based on qualifications and experience. After your first year the salary will increase by $5,000 ($66,500 - $70,000 based on qualifications and experience). Additionally, all Teachers will receive a $3,000 contract incentive bonus each year after the first year. Required Experience Qualifications for this position Must be a graduate of an accredited college and have proper and current Illinois teaching credentials (PEL license). Must include LBS1. Must meet state guidelines for school accreditation. Experience in educating children with special needs preferred. Ability to understand students unique needs and react effectively to their needs. Experience with profound disabilites a plus.
