About the Opportunity We are a growing Miami Public Accounting firm seeking to hire a talented public accounting professional for a great opportunity with an accelerated partner-track. The ideal candidate will have more than 3 years of experience in an accounting practice and extensive experience in tax preparation. Position Location Brickell Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred; Master’s degree in Taxation or Accounting, or enrollment in an advanced degree program, is a plus. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Experience in preparation of tax returns, tax research (domestic and international), and client communication. Solid knowledge of US GAAP. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (macros, pivot tables, etc.). 3-5 years of experience in public accounting and tax industry. CPA certification or progress towards Enrolled Agent status preferred. Bilingual in English and Spanish, both verbal and written. High proficiency in QuickBooks, UltraTax, and Microsoft Office. Flexible schedule, including overtime and weekends. Responsibilities Handle payroll, sales tax, journal entries, data entry, bookkeeping reconciliations, and reports for various clients and industries. Prepare schedules and reports as requested by clients and partners. Prepare tax returns, including Forms 1040, 1120, 5471, 8865, among others. Generate 1099s and W-2s, including quarterly payroll filings. Perform additional duties as assigned by accountants or partners.
