Quality Manager

We’re conducting a search for a Quality Manager to join an established aerospace manufacturing leader in the Auburn – Skaneateles New York area. In this role, you’ll lead, mentor, and provide training to an established quality team, while communicating with customers to ensure product requirements are clear and consistently met. You’ll be responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives, maintaining compliance with aerospace quality standards (including AS9100), and ensuring the effectiveness of the company’s Quality Management System. This position plays a key role in supporting production, resolving quality issues, and partnering cross-functionally to improve processes and product performance. Key Responsibilities Lead, coach, and develop the quality team (inspectors, technicians, and engineers) Serve as the primary point of contact for customer quality communications and audits Ensure compliance with AS9100, ITAR, and other applicable industry standards Oversee internal audits, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and root cause analysis Partner with operations and engineering to drive continuous improvement initiatives Monitor and report on key quality metrics (KPIs) and trends Manage supplier quality issues and support vendor qualification efforts Ensure proper documentation, inspection processes, and quality procedures are followed Qualifications Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related field (or equivalent experience) Previous quality leadership experience in a manufacturing environment Experience in aerospace or highly regulated industries preferred Strong knowledge of AS9100, ISO standards, and quality systems Proven ability to lead teams and drive process improvements Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Why This Opportunity Join a stable and growing, well-established manufacturer Lead an experienced team with strong internal support High visibility role with direct impact on operations and customer satisfaction Competitive compensation and benefits package Important Requirement Due to the nature of this position and applicable government regulations, applicants must be U.S. Citizens to be considered for employment. #J-18808-Ljbffr
