What is it like to work in Subcontract Administration ?

In this role you will have the following daily key responsibilities:

• Delivery and procurement support for major Connectivity, Transport, and Access Systems

• Managing development and sustainment contracts

• Scheduling activities with the supplier

• Helping develop subcontract specifications and requirements, such as statements of works, negotiating and enforcing terms and conditions

• Preparing bid packages

• Evaluating subcontractor proposals

• Negotiating subcontracts

• Issuing properly authorized awards/subcontracts and participating in contract negotiations

• Work closely with all functional areas in order to support multiple suppliers in the evaluation, source solicitation, negotiations, contract preparation and administration

• Conducting cost analysis support, understanding procurement activity under the guidance of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FARs) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFARS).

• Travel possible between 10 to 20% of the time, depending on lifecycle of current contracts.

Basic Qualifications:

To be effective, you will need to possess these basic qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education.

• You will need to be a US Citizen, andbe able to obtain and maintain a US SECRET clearance, to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Please note:

No clearance is required to apply but an Interim clearance is needed prior to start.

Desired Skills:

To be effective, ideally, you should also have:

• A post-secondary degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management.

• Understanding of Government Contracting and working knowledge of the FAR.

• Exposure or knowledge of contract negotiation.

• Customer service experience.

• Utilization of Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.

• Excellent analytical and organizational skills.

• Good verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to work in a team environment and multi-task assignments.

• Multi-task in a fast-paced team environment and work well under pressure.

• Possess effective relationship-building skills with peers, leadership and suppliers.

• You bring positivity and enthusiasm to every project you touch. In addition to the work, you love being part of a team and working collaboratively through the process.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $47,000 - $82,915. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $54,100 - $93,725. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
