The Marketing Analyst is responsible for developing research plans, analyze research results and offer marketing strategies. The ideal candidate will provide information and insights regarding customers, markets, competitors to measure performance and support business decisions. They are expected to act independently to deliver and manage requirements to schedule, budget and scope; and are self-driven and motivated.ResponsibilitiesConduct independent research on companies related to their funding, business objectives, market positioning and success factors.Provide ROI analysis of all marketing campaigns and sales activitiesDesign research projects that answer specific business questionsConduct market research to: analyze competitors; determine brand perceptions; evaluate market penetration; understand customer needsDevelop focus groups and surveys to capture market research dataAnalyze marketing metrics to identify cause-effect relationships between marketing actions and financial outcomes to increase profitabilityManage market segmentation, targeting, and positioning exercises as neededBuild a marketing dashboard that visualizes key performance indicatorsPerform annual customer satisfaction survey and compile results reportConduct industry analysis: Social, Technological, Economic, and PoliticalGather requirements and Translate requirements and specificationsDetermine, understand and document the business case and project scopeInterface with both technical and non-technical users.Liaison between stakeholder, technical teams, and the business unit's.Familiarity with Waterfall or Agile methodology.Write technical specifications and Interpret business documentsExperience writing BRD's and preparing Statements of WorkJob RequirementsUS college degree - MBA in Marketing, Mass Communications or Entrepreneurship is a big plus1 or 2 years experience in a marketing or market researchExceptional knowledge of marketing, sales, and business processesExperience in business analysis/process improvement or related technical fieldStrong project management, business writing, and reporting skillsAbility to develop strong relationships and work with senior level executivesExceptional written and verbal communication skillsSolid business acumen, management, analytical, and problem-solving skillsEffective time management, organizational, and leadership skillsLocation: San Ramon, CA Start Date: Immediate Fulltime Position
