Job Title: Cath Lab RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 10H Days Monday-Thursday Hours per Shift: 0630-1700 Experience: Minimum 1 year(s) License: Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - Sedation experience and reversal knowledge - Experience with cardiac drips and medications Description: The department operates 2 suites/labs. The average number of cases per day is 6. Common diagnoses include coronary procedures, interventional radiology procedures, and vascular procedures. Electrophysiology procedures are not performed. The responsibilities of the RN include sedation, monitoring, and circulating cases. The RN is not required to scrub. The electronic medical record system used is Cerner, and the imaging system is Merge. Call coverage is required for evenings and weekends. There are 10 days per month on-stemi diverts due to cardiology coverage. Interventional radiology call coverage consists of 10 days per month with only 1 provider. The management team includes a manager and charge nurses. Technicians are responsible for scrubbing, monitoring, and circulating. Shifts are scheduled from 0630-1700 Monday through Thursday. On-call requirements include evenings from 1700-0630 and weekend coverage from 0630-0630. Holidays may also require on-call coverage as needed. The designated call response time is 30 minutes. Occasional floating to assist with 1:1 sitter help may be needed. The dress code includes scrubs provided by the facility in light blue. Orientation includes completion of assigned computer-based trainings within the first week.
