Today the Company employs nearly 2,100 team members in over 95 locations across the United States.Job Summary:We are seeking a test technician for our chemistry at our lab in Marietta, GA. The primary responsibilities of the Chemistry Technician II are assisting the chemists and senior chemists in conducting analyses and sample preparation. Technicians also conduct some routine tests that require some data interpretation.****This is a 3-month contract position based in Marietta, GA. There is the potential this could become full-time.****Responsibilities:Conduct sample preparation and assist in performing tests.Follow lab processes, test specifications, and perform moderately complex testsIdentify equipment and/or maintenance issues and troubleshoot problemsEngage with other teams/departments as neededUse tools/systems to track workGather and interpret data with guidance from othersOperate equipment as neededPerform maintenance of the lab equipmentUpdate chemical and equipment inventoriesOperate independently to complete tasks and responsibilitiesOther duties as assignedRequired Education/Experience:High School or AA in Science and at least 2 years of experience in a material testing laboratory environmentORBachelor’s degree in chemistry or related science field.Necessary Skills:Technical acumen with knowledge of analytical chemistry testing preferredProblem-solving and troubleshooting skillsGood verbal and written communication skillsAbility to engage and collaborate with other team membersStrong organizational skills with the ability to coordinate work tasks based on project needsWorking knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), maintain Lab ISO and process safety proceduresExperience using software systems and other tools to track and record informationPhysical Requirements:The physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
