Shape standout signage with precision

Step onto the shop floor where vector files become finished parts. You’ll kick off each day by reviewing the routing schedule, loading sheets of acrylic, aluminum, PVC, wood, or composite onto the bed, and dialing in the right tooling. From there, your craftsmanship guides every step—translating drawings into clean cuts that feed fabrication, paint, and assembly.

What your day looks like

• Open production files and shop drawings, confirm dimensions and cut sheets, and prepare CNC-ready toolpaths from Illustrator, CorelDRAW, Flexi, EnRoute, or similar design software.
• Set up the CNC router, secure materials, verify nesting, and optimize feeds, speeds, and bit selection for efficient, accurate cuts.
• Monitor machine performance, make on-the-fly adjustments, and keep an eye on utilization to minimize scrap and rework.
• Inspect routed parts for finish quality and tolerance; correct issues or escalate to the production supervisor.
• Partner with fabrication, paint, and assembly to keep work moving smoothly and on schedule.
• Perform routine maintenance—bit changes, cleaning, lubrication—and manage dust collection and material waste.
• Maintain a clean, organized workstation while following OSHA and company safety procedures.

What you bring

• Hands-on experience running CNC routers (sign industry experience preferred).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, layouts, and production files.
• Familiarity with sign-making materials and fabrication workflows.
• Comfort with computers and file management.
• Meticulous attention to detail and dimensional accuracy.
• Capability to lift 50+ lbs and thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Bonus points

• Background with MultiCam, AXYZ, ShopSabre, Laguna, CamMaster, or similar systems.
• Tool selection knowledge and cutting strategy proficiency.
• Sign fabrication exposure (channel letters, cabinets, ADA, dimensional letters).
• Forklift experience.
• Understanding of lean manufacturing or production flow.

• Manufacturing/fabrication shop environment with dust, noise, and active production equipment.
• Standing for extended periods is typical.
