Overview Role: Founding Board Member for the MBA Leaders Forum Professional Association sponsored by the MBA Standards Board. Location: Remote / Global (Executive Volunteer Board Member Appointment) Commitment: 1 hour per month (LinkedIn writing tasks, such as 4 thought leader 3-5 sentence comments to our MBA Leaders Forum page and group comments per month, responding to a few messages, optional brief statements or sections of co-writing for white papers, articles and co-project advisory programs). You will be cited as a contributor and it can be quoted for your Wikipedia page and listed on your profile sections. About the Role The MBA Standards Board is officially sponsoring the MBA Leaders Forum Professionals Association and appointing a Board of distinguished MBA professionals to serve as Founding Board Trustees & Advisors. This is a high-visibility, executive-level appointment for MBA holders who wish to define the national standards for the AI-integrated MBA level and executive marketplace. This new MBA networking association will invite MBAs from diverse universities and colleges, primarily in English-speaking countries such as the United States and Canada. As a Founding Board Trustee or Board Advisor, you are more than a member; you are on the ground floor establishing a national professional association for MBAs. This role is designed for leaders who want to stabilize their careers in this new AI era and increase their marketplace value and visibility while contributing. Context There are too few existing professional or networking organizations for MBAs. There are a couple of large ones currently, but they are highly segmented. One is primarily for residents in India, and the other the National Black MBA Association. MBA graduates of Ivy League universities have relied on school alumni associations to serve their networking needs, but for the majority of MBA graduates, they do not have alumni groups available or adequate ones. Our research shows a strong demand for a North American-based MBA networking association without any specific school affiliation. Colleges have not kept current with AI developments in general, particularly in skill development, validation, and reporting. HR departments, employers, and recruiters have difficulty searching and sorting listings with outdated diplomas that lack machine-readable or embeddable MBA information. Current AI bots and systems, such as Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), may bypass many qualified MBA degree holders because old diplomas are not skill-embedded and don’t show up in current systems. While many schools now provide these credentials for new graduates, older graduates are missed. Our MBA Leaders Forum aims to provide solutions to these issues and is timely for this period of change and corporate consolidation. Founding Mandate (Board Requirements) To ensure our Board members represent the “Gold Standard” of professional excellence, all Trustees and Advisory Board members must participate in a Standards Validation Phase (onboarding). This phase satisfies governance requirements and establishes authority: Curriculum Validation: Complete and vet a core AI and Ethics module (via Coursera.com courses) to verify the baseline for our national network. Specialization Mastery: Optional. Select one of 21 high-demand tracks (e.g., FinTech, Sustainable Leadership, or AI Strategy) to represent as a subject matter expert. Brand Alignment: Maintain a unified executive presence by displaying the CMBA™ and the Certified MBA™ designations on your LinkedIn profile and in one Board-led co-written project or publication. Thought Leadership: Contribute 3-5 sentence comments and engage with responses on our LinkedIn posts, such as the “MBA Case Study” and “Business Framework,” for example, to grow association visibility and engagement.
