Unit Information

Location: Denver, CO

Unit: Operating Room

Number of Beds: 16

Equipment: DaVinci Robotics

Electronic Medical Record System: Meditech / CPN

General Information

Staffing: Day Shift typically includes 1 charge nurse, 3 registered nurses (RNs), 2 certified nursing assistants (CNAs), and 1-3 sitters.
Night Shift Patient Ratios: Varies by patient needs.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

Minimum 6 months of current acute care hospital experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST).
Active NBSTA and DORA certifications.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Preferred Experience:

Transplant experience (kidney/liver) is highly preferred.
Experience in spine surgeries.
Familiarity with Meditech.

Transplant surgeries (kidney/liver)
Robotic surgeries
Vascular surgeries
Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) procedures
Plastic surgeries

Unit Policies

Flexibility in scheduling is offered. After an initial round of shifts, staff will have the ability to self-schedule. There is a requirement for on-call duty on weekends, with expectations of 8-12 calls over an 8-week period and a 30-minute response time for on-call duties.
